If you press the Shift key while you draw with the rectangle, rounded rectangle or oval tool, RSG constrains the shape to a square, rounded square or circle.

NOTE: When you press the Shift key and draw, the Snap To feature of an active layout grid or guide is temporarily turned off. But if you later resize the object and Snap To is active, the object snaps to the active grid or guide.
