You can draw polygons manually, one side at a time. You can create them with as many sides
as you wish.
-
Select the polygon tool from the tool bar.
-
Click where you want the first side to begin, move the pointer, and click where you want
the first side to end.
You don't drag to draw a polygon.
-
Draw as many sides as you want. Each click with the pointer tool draws another side.
-
To end the second-to-last side, and to automatically draw the last side, double click.
When you double-click, RSG completes the polygon by drawing the last side, which ends at
the starting point.
TIP!
To create an open-sided polygon, press the Option key before double-clicking so that
RSG does not automatically draw the last side. Or you can double-click the polygon to see
the polygon specification sheet. Press Outline and choose the open-sided icon from the
palette. If you create more polygons, they all stay selected until you choose another
tool.
NOTE:
When you draw a polygon, the Snap To feature of an active layout grid or guide is
temporarily turned off. But if you later resize the object and Snap To is active, the
object snaps to the active grid or guide.
