You can adjust the brightness and contrast of a picture to bring out hidden highlights or
tone down areas of little interest. The top bar is the brightness control, and the bottom
bar is the contrast control.

Select the cropping tool from the tool bar, and then select the picture whose image you
want to fine-tune.

Choose Image Control from the Edit menu.

Position the pointer on the slide bar of the brightness or contrast control, and drag it
to the right or left to change the brightness or contrast. You can also click the arrows
at either end of a control to move the slider a little at a time and make small
adjustments.The brighter a picture is, the lighter all grey values become. The higher the
contrast, the more difference there is between dark and light greys, and the fewer greys
there are in between.

Click Apply to see the results.You can make further changes, or you can undo all
brightness and contrast changes by clicking Normal and then Apply.

Click OK when you're done.
