The Printer Specifications dialog box lets you choose the type of printer or imagesetter to be used for printing the separations. RSG will use your selection to apply the correct color information to your document when printing.
The Printer Separation Information File list shows all the printers for which an MPD file is held in the MPD Folder. The MPD file is used for preset color separation information only.
RSG includes by default four standard MPD files which cover nearly all current imagesetters and printers.

Force Custom Page Size will apply a user defined size for the printer page. When this is selected you have the following options:

1. Width: specifies the width of the page in the default RSG units.
2. Depth: specified the height of the page in the default RSG units.
3. Traverse: if this is selected the page is printed rotated by 90 degrees on the printer. This is used to save film on an imagesetter.

NOTE! Force Custom Page Size is designed for use with devices that support variable page sizes such as imagesetters that output to film and Acrobat Distiller. This may give incorrect results on printers that print onto sheets of paper. For such printers you should install correctly the PPD file that came with the printer and set the page size in the standard printer setup dialog box.
