Everything you can create or import in RSG can have color-text, rules, graphic objects,
images. But that's worthwhile only if the color can be transformed accurately
into
printable color separations. On screen, all objects appear in
RGB
(red, green, blue)
colors. To make color separations for printing, the colors must be converted to
CMYK
(cyan, magenta, yellow, black). RSG's color separator uses the
CIE
color space model, the
professional pre-press standard for describing color. The
CIE
conversion process selects
the nearest possible printable colors to those displayed on
screen, giving the greatest
color accuracy and repeatability to documents separated with RSG.
