To Set Pen Trapping

You can set the amount by which rules and frames should trap when you print color separations. You can specify a choke or a spread in increments of .001 points.

  1. Select the object or objects with the pointer tool. All objects, including text blocks and picture blocks, may have a frame.

  2. Choose Pen Trapping from the Draw menu. A dialog box appears.

  3. Choose Choke or Spread and type in the amount. The default value is 0.0 points-no trapping.

  4. Click OK.

The setting has no effect on the screen display. The setting only effects printing if you are printing color separations, and the object whose trap value you have set overlaps another object of a different color, and the object whose trap you have set is designated to knockout.
