You can specify the imagesetter resolution and screen requirements. RSG automatically
optimizes halftone screen rulings and angles for the chosen imagesetter, the chosen
resolution, and the chosen options. In this process RSG uses data provided by the current
MPD file.
NOTE: The screen settings in the Process Color Separation Specs dialog
box override any other screen settings for objects and images (via the Pen Screen, Fill
Screen, Text Screen, Gradient Screen or Image Screen dialog boxes) which are to be process
color separated.
-
Click Process Seps in the Printer
Setup dialog box.
-
Choose the resolution of the
imaging device.
-
Choose the screen ruling. As you
choose a value the actual screen rulings and angles for C, M, Y, and K appear in the box
below the popup menu.
-
Choose the paper type (for the
eventual print process, not for the imaging device) from the Stock menu.
-
Choose the halftone dot shape from
the Shape menu. If your pages contain images which have pure black and white, where you do
not want any cyan, magenta or yellow dots to appear in the separations, check No
Undercolor for Pure Black.

Click OK
