You can force the text block to shrink to exactly fit the text it contains.

1. Select the I-beam tool and click in the text block you want to shrink to exactly fit the text.

2. Choose Scale Block to Text from the Text menu. The dimensions of the text block change to snugly fit the text. The position of the upper-left corner of the text block does not change.
