To Copy, Move, Replace, Remove, or Delete Text
  • To copy or move text in RSG, select the text and choose Copy or Cut from the Edit menu. (If you choose Cut, the text is removed from the text block.) Then select an insertion point, and choose Paste from the Edit menu. The pasted text keeps its type specs.

  • To copy or move text from another Mac document via the clipboard, select the text you want and use Copy to place it on the clipboard. Open the RSG document where you want to insert the copied text, select an insertion point, and Paste in the text. The copied text is reformatted using the type specs of the insertion point.

Some applications clear the clipboard when you quit - it's best to copy to the scrapbook first. You can copy several selections to the Scrapbook before copying them one at a time into a RSG document.

  • To replace text, select the text, then either type new text or Paste in some replacement text.

  • To remove text, use Cut. The text is placed on the clipboard until your next copy or cut.

  • To delete text, use Clear, or select it and press Delete or Backspace.

  • To restore text you've deleted, use Undo Delete before you do anything else. To restore text you've removed by using Cut, use Undo Delete or Paste.
