You can extend and condense text by any percentage in one percent increments. Text that is
horizontally scaled remains the same point size, but the set width of each character is
made larger or smaller.

Select the text you want to scale
horizontally, or select an insertion point.

Choose Horiz Scaling from the Format menu. A dialog box prompts you for the amount of horizontal scaling you want. 100% represents the normal character width.. An empty text box means that the selection is being formatted by more than one value of horizontal scaling.

Type the percentage you want to
scale the text by. You can type any number from 25% to 250%.

Click Apply to see the results.

To remove the effects of
horizontal scaling, select the text and choose Horiz Scaling from the Format menu. Type
100 in the dialog box and click OK. |
