You can check the spelling of text in a block or chain of blocks. Words are checked against the corresponding language dictionary and a User Dictionary which acts as a supplement to the Main Dictionary. The Check Spelling command is dimmed if no dictionary is in the Dictionary Folder.

1. Select an insertion point where you want to begin the spelling check.

2. Choose Check Spelling from the Text menu. To limit the check to a single block in a chain, hold down the Option key when you choose Check Spelling. If a misspelled or unknown word is found, it is selected, and a list of spelling suggestions is displayed. To use a suggestion, click it and click Replace. To add the word to the User dictionary, click Add Word.
