Make sure the grid is visible and
Snap To in the Page menu is checked.

Select the text block tool,
picture block tool, or a drawing tool.

Position the pointer in a grid
rectangle and drag to draw the object. The object snaps to the outside border of all the
grid rectangles whose borders are crossed.
To draw a perfect circle, square, or rounded rectangle, hold down the Shift key before you
drag - the grid now has no Snap To effect.
NOTE: If you change the grid, the object keeps its original size and
position.
TIME SAVER!
To draw an object the size of one grid rectangle, release the mouse button
right after you start drawing. To draw an object the size of more than one grid rectangle,
release the mouse button as soon as you cross the last grid rectangle that you want the
object to snap to.
