1. Select the object pointer from the tool bar.To move two or more ungrouped objects, select them now. Make sure any object to be moved is unlocked.

2. Position the pointer on an object and drag it to the new position. If you drag quickly, a dotted rectangle shows the size and position of the selected object(s) or group. If you press a few seconds before dragging, you drag a temporary copy of the object, selected objects, or group.

To move object(s) horizontally or vertically, select the object(s), hold down Shift, then drag as required.
To move or align objects with guides, arrange the guides that you need, make sure that Snap To in the Page menu is checked, and drag each object in turn to its new position so that it snaps to the guide.
To undo the move, choose Undo Move from the Edit menu before you do anything else.
