1. Select the object, or group you want to delete.

2. Choose Cut or Clear from the Edit menu, or press the Delete (or Backspace) key. If the object you're deleting is a text block linked to other text blocks, see To Remove or Delete Linked Blocks From a Chain in the "How To - Text" section, Working With Text.

To restore an object you've removed or deleted, choose Undo Delete from the Edit menu before you do anything else.
