If you copy or move linked text blocks via the clipboard, they lose their links.

1. Select the object, objects, or group you want to copy or move.

2. Choose Copy from the Edit menu to copy the selection. Or choose Cut from the Edit menu to move it. If you choose Cut to remove a locked object or group, a copy is placed on the clipboard but the original is not removed.

3. Go to a page in the same document or in a different document where you want to copy or move the selection.

4. Choose Paste from the Edit menu. Each object is pasted in the same position as on the page from which you copied or moved it. You may need to change the Page Setup options to match those of the document you cut or copied from.

To copy or move all the objects on a page or spread, choose Select All from the Edit menu, and then choose Copy or Cut from the Edit menu. Go to the page or spread where you want to paste what you copied or cut, and choose Paste from the Edit menu.
