Select the object whose size and
position you want to specify, and choose Specifications from the Object menu. Or
double-click the object. A Specifications dialog box presents details of the selected
object. Start Across and Start Down measurements specify the top-left corner of the object
boundary in relation to the top and left sides of the page. With lines, these measurements
refer to the leftmost end of the line. For all objects except lines, Width and Depth
measurements give the dimensions of the object. Units of measure are as selected in the
Preferences dialog box.

Change any or all of these
measurements. Any number you type replaces the selected number. Press Tab to go to the
next text box.

Click OK when you're done. The
object appears in its new position and size and is not affected by the Snap To command if
it's checked.
To specify the positions and
sizes of a group of selected objects, select the group and choose Specifications from the
Object menu. A specification sheet appears in turn for each selected object in the group.
Click OK to go to the next specification sheet. Click Cancel to return to the current page
or spread. |
