You can find and replace text in a selection, block, chain of blocks or throughout a
document. You can find text by stylesheet as well as by font, style, size, or combination
of these, and replace it with other text formatted by a stylesheet and other formats. The
search begins after the current insertion point.
-
Select an insertion point where
you want to begin the search.
-
Choose Replace from the Text menu.
-
Type or paste the text you want to
find. See step 3 of To Find Text, earlier in this chapter.
-
Type the new text in the Change To
box, or select Use Clipboard. Text replaced directly from the clipboard keeps its
formatting (if it's from a RSG document). Text pasted from the clipboard into the Change
To box doesn't keep its formatting.
-
Optionally, specify a stylesheet
or formats for the replacement text. You cannot do this if you have selected Use Clipboard.
-
Click Start Search to find the
next occurrence of the text, or click Change All to replace all occurrences of the text.
With Start Search, click Change to replace text and continue the search, or click No
Change to search for the next occurrence without changing the current selection.
